Specifically, according to the decision signed by Mr. Nam, compensation, site clearance and project start-up in the second quarter of 2022. Complete construction and put the project into operation in the second quarter of 2026.

Regarding this issue, Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee has decided to recognize investors who meet preliminary requirements in terms of capacity and experience in implementing the first phase of Ca Na LNG power center project, with a capacity of 1,500MW. .

Accordingly, there are 5 investors with preliminary qualifications and experience, including: Korea Consortium: Hanwha Energy Corporation - Korea Gas Corporation - South Korea Electricity Corporation; Gulf MP Company Limited; Jera Company Inc.; Joint Venture Total Gaz Electricite Holding France - Novatek Gas & Power Asia Pte Company - PetroVietnam Electricity Corporation (PVPower) - Siemens Energy AG Company - Zarubezhneft Joint Stock Company; Trung Nam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to post a list of investors who meet preliminary requirements in terms of project implementation capacity and experience, and at the same time apply the form of international open bidding according to regulations to select the investor. investment.

Assign the Department of Industry and Trade to be the party calling for bids and organizing the bidding to select investors. Along with that, in the process of implementation, it is necessary to closely coordinate and agree with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Vietnam Electricity Group on the necessary criteria and technical solutions to select the project. the investor has sufficient management capacity, finance, experience, advanced, modern and optimal techniques - technology according to the provisions of law, ensuring competition, publicity and equality; agree with the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security on criteria and plans to ensure national defense and security.

In December 2020, Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2162/QD-UBND approving the list of Ca Na LNG Power Center project phase 1, with a capacity of 1,500 MW.

Accordingly, the project will start construction in the third quarter of 2021, and at the same time complete the construction and put the project into operation in the third quarter of 2024.

Then, by the end of the second quarter of 2021, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province directed the completion of legal procedures to prepare for the bidding for the project of Ca Na LNG Power Center project phase 1, with a capacity of 1,500 MW.

The project of Ca Na LNG Power Center Phase 1 aims to build a gas power plant using combined cycle gas turbine technology, with a capacity of 1,500MW. Regarding the material supply and handling system: Build an LNG import port to meet the scale of LNG output through the port of 4.8 million tons/year.

LNG storage with capacity of 4x1.2 million tons/year, scale of 4 tanks, each tank has a capacity of 180,000m3. Phase 1 project invests in the entire LNG storage infrastructure and builds and installs a tank in advance to serve the needs of the project with a capacity of 1,500 MW.

The regasification warehouse includes 4 regasification stations, with a capacity of 4x1.2 million tons/year. Phase 1 project invests in the entire infrastructure of the regasification zone and builds and installs a regasification station in advance to serve the needs of the project with a capacity of 1,500MW.

The gas pipeline system from the regasification station to the LNG gas power plant, phase 1, has a capacity of 1.2 million tons/year.

According to Decision No. 2162/QD-UBND, the project of Ca Na LNG Power Center Phase 1 has an operation term of 50 years and a land area for building a main plant, with a capacity of 1,500 MW, about 20 hectares in Phuoc Diem commune. , Thuan Nam district.

Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee said: "The project will contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality through attracting investment with a capital of about 49,000 billion VND, contributing to creating many jobs for businesses. and local people.

The project creates many jobs, improving the living standards of local people, contributing to stabilizing the social situation.
