Regarding the progress of the project, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that at present, the project still has a number of procedural problems such as: the group of problems on transferring the LNG gas price to the selling price of electricity, offsetting the electricity output, and securing the road. transmission lines, connections; group of issues on foreign currency conversion, guarantee of payment obligations to EVN and compensation for damage upon termination of PPA contracts... Bac Lieu will actively coordinate with investors to work with central ministries and sectors. to soon submit to the Prime Minister to handle outstanding issues, try to complete procedures to start construction in the second quarter of 2022 and complete phase 1 of the project (800MW) in 2024.
In 2022, Bac Lieu province will promote wind power projects, especially offshore wind power projects in accordance with the Power Master Plan VIII when approved by the Prime Minister.
